  • German electrohouse duo Tiefschwarz and British dance ambassador Pete Tong are the latest to sign on for the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the club-hopping festival-cum-conference happening in the dam in October. The pair will join Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, John Digweed and Paul Van Dyk. The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is touted as "the world's biggest club festival". This year's program has lined up over 400 DJs to play at 40 clubs. Other notable acts playing at the three-day three-night event include Vince Watson, Fedde le Grand, DJ Spooky, Oxia, Rex the Dog and Bugz in the Attic. Defected, Get Physical, Cocoon, DC Recordings, Sonar Kollektiv, MN2S, Pokerflat, Goodlife and Dutch imprint Delsin will all host label showcases. The daytime program has panels, discussions and workshops with participating DJs such as Dave Clarke and Josh Wink. Panel topics announced so far include 'Games, Advertising & Electronic Music, Does it Blend?!', 'The Converse of Communication, the Evolution of Media', 'The Artist Debate' and 'The Digital Divide'. The Amsterdam Dance Event takes place October 19-21, 2006.
