  • International playboy Bob Sinclar and South London house duo Basement Jaxx will perform on Sydney's Bondi Beach this New Year's Eve. Filter house maverick Bob Sinclar was originally inspired by fellow Frenchman and disco legend Cerrone on early club hits 'I Feel For You' and 'Gym Tonic' but recently hit the pop charts with the feelgood anthems ‘Love Generation’ and ‘World, Hold On’. As a DJ, he plays a mixture of retro disco and house aimed at getting the girls grooving on the dancefloor. Basement Jaxx are Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton best known for their 2002 single 'Where's your head at?' and its accompanying music video which showed them monkeying around thanks to some nifty computer graphics. Last month the house duo released their first studio album in three years ‘Crazy Itch Radio’ which included vocal collaborations with grime MC Lady Marga and current UK sensation Lily Allen. For their New Year's Eve gig on Bondi, Basement Jaxx will perform a live set with an eighteen-piece band plus dancers and custom visuals. Basement Jaxx and Bob Sinclar play Shore Thing at Bondi Beach, Sydney on December 31st, 2006. Tickets go on sale Monday October 9, 2006.
