  • Together ends the year on a block-rockin' note with a DJ set by The Chemical Brothers at Turnmills in London. London night Together originally started out as an NYE bash in 2002, but after four years of breaking in the new year, the party relaunched in 2006 as a monthly night reeling in the big fish of dance rock, techno and contemporary disco such as Justice, Trentemoller, Josh Wink and Lindstrom. This month's party combines the best of the old and new Togethers, switching to the Sunday for New Year's Eve. Electronica double act The Chemical Brothers headlines the main room with a three-hour DJ set, which should contain some sneak peeks from their forthcoming new album as well their latest electronic battle weapon dong the rounds. Together general and man-in-the-hat Justin Robertson plus Cagedbaby from Southern Fried Records get the champers flowing early. For once, there's no secret about the location of a Mulletover party with RA podcast man Geddes and his crew hosting the second room with Crosstown rebel Silversurfer and TERRY from Freak N' Chic. As usual, dressing up is encouraged. The NYE theme is rock star or pop star with prizes handed out for the best dressed rock idol. More silliness comes in the form of an air guitar competition. The party goes from 8pm to 6am. Tickets are just £45 plus booking fee or an even fifty from Turnmills. The Chemical Brothers play Together NYE at Turnmills, London on December 31, 2006.
