  • The first big dance festival of the Japanese summer lines lines up some big names in house, minimal, techno and electro up in the mountains this weekend. As usual with Japanese festivals, Taico Club is set in a beautiful location, this time in Nagano with camping and running around in the clean air encouraged. The festival runs for twenty four hours, kicking off on Saturday afternoon and winding up at three on Sunday. As with the 2006 Taico Club, the musical emphasis is on eclectic sounds and experimental dance music. This years includes local techno from Fumiya Tanaka and Takkyu Ishino, a 45rpm session with dubsters Rhythm & Sound, German minimal from Ata and Sleeparchive, rock from Rob Da Bank, electrohouse from Rex the Dog and weird-beard house from Rub N Tug and Chateau Flight. And when it finishes, you're not far from the onsen.
