This year's Cocoon residency at Amnesia was, if you go on the number of strung out clubbers limping back onto the plane at the airport, one of its most successful yet, but if your tyrant boss or bank balance kept you off the island this summer, you can still get a taste of summer on the island in 2007 thanks to Vath's retrospective 'The Sound of the Eighth Season' tour and compilation.
The Cocoon figurehead officially kicks off the touring leg of his Ibizan freakshow this Friday at his custom built Cocoon Club. Väth will spin the hits that ruled Amnesia this summer alongside a live set from label employees/progressive-techno hybrid Pig & Dan, who'll punch out cuts from their debut longplayer 'Imagine'. Cocoon residents C*Rock, aka Motorcitysoul, and Nelson Machado warm up the pods early in the night. Expect plenty of arm waving and theatrics from the host and possibly a few turbans in the crowd.
