  • Celebrated London record store Phonica will celebrate its fifth birthday later this month at Corsica Studios. The store, which has been a beacon of hope in the ever-declining world of physical record stores, has built its reputation largely via its tastemaking staff, among which RA podcaster Hector and BBC Radio 1 DJ Heidi have been a part. That duo will be in a celebratory mood on November 28th, as they—and the rest of the Phonica crew—take over Corsica Studios for a night and invite a trio of dance music luminaries down to help blow out the candles. Berlin's house wunderkind Sebo K, Nordic disco dude Prins Thomas and Bristol dubstepper Peverelist will all be on hand to play records that have been most likely bought straight out of the store in what promises to be a varied night sound-wise.
