Copenhagen dub maestro Mikkel Metal will release his fourth full-length later this month.
Entitled Peaks and Troughs, the album will see the producer working for the first time with a vocalist on his dub-drenched tunes. Metal has enlisted electronic dub voice du jour Paul St. Hilaire, who has appeared on records by Basic Channel, Deadbeat and Modeselektor. Like those appearances, St. Hilaire doesn't dominate the entire album: He only pops up on four of the eleven tracks, but his voice lingers throughout, giving the record a cohesive feel.
The album is Metal's first since his 2006 Kompakt debut, Victimizer.
