20 (plus) years of radio with the BBC legend.
BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong has spent the past 20 years pushing new music. The nature of how he has done so has changed radically over the years. The why, however, remains exactly the same. He simply has a passion for bringing interesting music of all genres to wider audiences. His weekly show and wide-ranging tastes has prevented him from becoming the touring behemoth of some of his contemporaries, but he wouldn't have it any other way. It's allowed him the room to dabble in production, work on film soundtracks and even spearhead his own industry conference, Ibiza's International Music Summit. As he gears up to celebrate two decades on the BBC, we caught up with Tong to find out how he initially made his way to the station.
