What makes a great soundsystem? That's one of the questions we'll be trying to answer on this month's show.
We open the latest edition of The Hour by thinking about mental wellbeing. At this time of year especially, lots of us are considering how best to look after our minds, so we asked Peggy Gou, Om Unit, Rebekah and Lucy to share their methods and practices [01.34].
We then speak with Sound-Services' Rich Cufley, who gives us a tour of the soundsystem he recently installed at the London club E1. Cufley's enthusiasm for all things sound is legendary in London, so we picked his brains about what, in his view, makes a great system [17.02].
And to end the show, we chat with the respected author Matthew Collin about his new book, Rave On: Global Adventures In Electronic Dance Music, which goes deep on the development of dance music cultures around the world [38.48].
