Get ready for The Jackathon.
Heidi is among a rare breed of DJs (these days, at least) that have made a name for themselves on the back of playing records alone. See her in a club and you'll immediately know why. Her energy is infectious, her skill obvious. It wasn't always this way: Heidi only took up DJing after years of working at the famed London record store, Phonica. The connections and, more importantly, the knowledge she gained there has seen her star rise quickly. To hear her tell it, so has her winning personality. It's a large part of why the BBC picked her to showcase new talent as part of its In New DJs We Trust show. It's also why her Jackathon parties have been a success around the world. RA's Stephen Titmus checked in with Heidi recently to talk about what she calls the horseshoe up her you know where.
