Plug & Lay was born as an audiovisual concept in Budapest, Hungary. A group of friends, DJs, producers and visual artists established a less dancefloor oriented electronic music scene in Budapest and have been organizing club nights since early 2009.
Over the past 3 years Plug & Lay fulfilled and continues to do so it’s mission of inviting famous and less recognized electronic musicians to perform live acts within professional settings. They have organized a number of events with over 60 live acts in various venues inviting the audience on an audiovisual journey through the sounds of ambient, IDM, electronica, dub techno and deep techno.
After recognizing the vast opportunity in and the ever emerging need of organizing this electronic subculture into a more structured form, Plug & Lay established a music label with it’s first compilation CD out in 2011.
