- Rhino Drum is the next in line in the Choo Limited wagon. 2 tracks that both shake the floor with its baselines, and should hopefully kick start the Limited label into gear again.
On the a-side is ’Shake It’. From the outset this track has a dark and deep appeal with the eerie sounds that begin the track. The baseline further emphasises the point as the low end aspects of sound get a real workout here. The track gets a little twisted and quirky midway in with some eerie and scratchy elements as well as some vocal samples which really works well. Some higher end sounds make their way into the production, but overall, this is sure to appeal to the evil in all of us. Great stuff.
On the flip is ’Suipacha 220’. The story is quite similar on the flip as the baseline is quite simply devastating. The rumbles of the base surround the sounds effects of the production that build throughout, despite the fact that the production on a whole maintains a similar arrangement. It’s another evil piece of music by the Rhino.
I've said it before and will say it again, when you have 2 quality tracks on one slab of vinyl, you know you have a good release. Good work from Choo Limited and a release that musn't be overlooked.
