  • "Ice Ice Baby" Dinky Volume two is mixed by the banging team of Rachel Auburn and Wayne G. Dinky is the home to Hi NRG artists such as Nick Skitz, Rob Brizzi and Carlotta. Rachel Auburn and Wayne G's CV is long enough to fill a website, and on this album they have brought together some of their finest tracks. Ice will transport you to the days where "The Exchange" had a nightclub on the ground floor, there was no need for metal detectors at clubs, bouncers did their job and music went off. The highlight of the CD is the whole CD. Seemless mixing, juicy tracks, smart sampling and positive energy. Rachel burns it up on her track "Lexus Lexus", so good she had to name it twice! Listen out for the catchy synthesiser, it got me hook line and sinker. "All U Deejays" by Nick Skitz will give you goosebumps, just think Two Unlimited and crank up the volume. The Ass Spankers command you to "Dance To My Beat" and with a group name like their's how could you not smile. Wayne G opens with K Time featuring Nova who is trying to take on The Klubbheads with "Wham Bam". But the energy level doesn't really quite lift the track. Wayne G has a harder edge to his tracklisting, with less lyrics and darker grooves. "Good Times 2001" revive a classic and Wayne G uses his skills on his own track "Rescue Me", See if you can guess the sampling of the lyrics. "Insomniac" make a change of pace to the second half of Wayne's mix as "Are Am I" rock hard with a very unique and original sampling of our favourites at South Park. Every track on this two CD Album deserves a mention. If you are looking for an album to get you excited about the nightclub scene then this is for you. Ice-Dinky Volume 2 is available through Dinky/Central Station. Get it and go off.
