Saints & Sinners – Pushin’ Too Hard (Official 2003 Mix)

  • Pushin Too Hard was one of those tracks that summed up how nice and uplifting the Bedrock label could get. Featured on Sasha & Digweed’s ‘Communication’ mix release, the track got big airplay from the likes of not only Sasha & Digweed, but almost every Progressive DJ such as Nick Warren and Dave Seaman. IT also came with an impressive Futureshock mix at the time in the year 2000, but the end of 2003 saw Futureshock give it a slightly more modern reworking, and subsequently, an official release as part of the Bedrock 50 range. Saints & Sinners Official 2003 Remix is essentially more of the same of the original with a few more tweaks and fine additions. The beats are certainly more ‘jumpy’ so to speak, with noticeable snare updates, and there is a nice deep baseline that subtly gives it a good solid groove. The main electro riff remains throughout the track, which stops and starts in many intervals. It’s a solid remake of the track, which should see it get a renewed life span, but as far as the four ‘50’ releases go, it is probably the least in terms of change compared to the originals. Nevertheless, it was a good track then, and this new remake is no different.
