Lorenzino – Move’n

  • Next up on the tribal based Black & White Records is Lorenzino with the upbeat Move’n. On the a-side is the Salco Pounding Mix, and it definitely pounds a bit. Chunky tribal drums are the main player in this mix as well as a nice cheeky rolling baseline that gives the track a pretty funky edge. A little vocal sample also helps things along, as does some subtle synths that feature in the breakdown deep into the track. The Original Mix on the flip sees the baseline play a more prominent role in the production, and overall, it has a more funky edge to the pounding mix. For the most part of the track, the baseline rumbles until it hits the major breakdown midway that features nice smooth pads and funky hooks. All in all I would have to say that this mix shines a bit more then the a-side. Not a bad release by Black & White with two pretty different productions, and the original mix in particular the better of the two mixes due to the nasty baseline and funky riffs that make it quite interesting.
