The EP is meant to be "reminiscent of the time [Kupfer] started out making Lifetrax." The title track was produced five years ago in the now-popular style of deep, lo-fi house with intoxicating vocals. But it lacks Lifetrax's smooth keys and pearly synths, and the groove is more of a march than a glide. The new material approaches a dreamy sound from a different angle. "Can't Love Life Without U" is a gritty and jacking club cut with soothing chords and hazy voices, while "Lubov" is a delicate ambient track that develops like a gradually fogging window. Post Present hits some sweet spots, even if it sounds a bit safe.
