  • If you haven’t already heard of Ultra Nate’s “Free” - climb out from under your rock, because it’s back! Curvve Recordings have commissioned some stellar remixers to bring one of the all-time classic house anthems to 21st century dance floors worldwide, and what a blinding package this is. First up is Trendroid’s Brick City Remix. The duo make use of the instantly recognisable guitar riff, as well as the main vocal samples. As the groove gradually builds a monstrous bassline lifts the pace and is layered with a stabbing electronic synth line. The drops in this remix are huge and seem destined to get huge crowd responses. Junior Sanchez is up next, but this cut is more on the electro tip. Solid beats are mixes with crunchy analog riffs and retro-styled synths. On the other hand, Oscar G’s Space Afterhours Remix is a full-on driving percussive tribal work-out, and this time the vocals are used a lot more sparingly. Lastly, the Corbett & Troia Remix takes things to a deeper and darker level. This mix is filled with tribal beats, a droning bassline, eerie stabs, and twisted panned effects. This is a solid package from Curvve Recordings. “Free” has already received widespread plays from jocks worldwide, this time around it appears that it may well do the same. An absolute crowd puller, and an essential release for any house dj that is looking for something to fill up a dance floor in seconds.
