- A Montreal collective drops a varied compilation of club-ready house tunes.
- The Montreal nightlife collective 00:AM returns for a second compilation on its nearly one year-old label. Calling on a cast of local and international producers, the four-track package reflects the atmosphere of the crew's intimate party series, which has brought the likes of Skatebård, Marcellus Pittman and Chaos In The CBD to Montreal.
The A-Side eases in with The Hutchin Crew's "Motor Boats (Senatorial Mix)," whose dreamy synth lead sets a loose and airy tone. The German duo DJ OK change the pace with the chugging beat of "Atmosphere," a late-night dance floor cut that stands out with its eerie melodies and galactic vocal sample. "Confluence" is a cross-continental house collaboration by Iron Curtis and Cromie. Built for peak-time, it's filled with the quirks and noises found in Iron Curtis's solo tracks and features what sounds like another laid-back bassline from Cromie. Complementing the package's spacey and energetic aura, "En Corps" by Science Friction is an expansive synthwave tune. Use it as a closing track or a moody afterhours record.
