First up is the Original Mix, and from the outset this track is deep and a little sinister. Chunky beats flow very smoothly throughout, accompanied by some quirky little sounds that add good character. Deep baseline rumbles add the groove, and in terms of groove, the track is quite full of it as it builds and drives in a good way.
The Dirty Northern Scoundrels Remix on the flip is probably a little more quirky then the original is. The minimal beats unite very well with analogue baselines as well as samples taken from the original. A pretty constant flow throughout, this track does it job nicely without ever really trying too hard.
The result is a pretty solid release here from Lisa German, with both sides offering some pretty good value.
