On "Shabak Shalom," snapping drums are joined by rattlesnake synths and in-your-face bass, both regular guests at Red Axes bashes. Droney guitars amplify the dusty mood while the percussion roots the track to the dance floor. Kindred elements pop up in "Kookoo Papa," along with cryptic distorted vocals reminiscent of "Sipoor". It's the most boisterous cut on a festive EP, with ravey synths dominating the mix. Where an LP full of similar tracks might grow tiresome, it's hard to not like this gift of three bangers.
