Euphoric techno inspired by pain, joy and sadness.
This lightness is thanks to the sunbeam-like synths across the EP. On "Aylith Yard," one of two tracks that references Ford's native Calgary, the synths cut through keys and a restless squiggle of beats in what will make a sublime daybreak set closer. They're also especially notable on "Erinwoods," where they glow eerily atop a simple kick and cricket-like bleeps. Of all the tracks, "Public Domain" hits hardest. A pumping kick, icy synth blasts and a springy bassline tango in a barnstorming bit of braindance. His tough yet delicate brand of techno has never felt more affecting.
