- Following from their worldwide hit "Is It Love?", Chili HiFly have now released a new single "It's Alright".
The opening funk guitar riffs, from Pnau member Gawain, are what make the song. This house track sounds a lot like "It's Yours" by Jon Cutler, which has been a hit this summer and "It's Alright" has already proven to be popular in the house scene.
My only qualm with this song is Kye's weak delivery to the vocals and the predictable wording. It feels as if he is holding back from his full range and the words lack depth and colour.
Redhedz and Chris & James' mixes of the inclusive "Is It Love" show the strength that Chili HiFly have in their original vocal design. Redhedz sampling of Kool and the gangs "Be My Lady" brings a chunky 70's feel to their mix. 10/10 for these two mixes.
