Cinematic drum & bass with moments of beauty.
Seba & Paradox - Over Now Seba & Paradox have been collaborating since 2004, and their new label gives them a dedicated home for their music. Both artists are quiet masters of their craft. No one can chop a break like Paradox, while Seba's discography is home to some of drum & bass's most beautiful records, touching on liquid funk without its clichés. Their new EP's lead track, "Over Now," sounds like it could have come out at any time since 2004. Sighing vocals float over an icy landscape of breaks and pads, flecked with the kind of synth instrumentation you'd hear on a Tangerine Dream record. It sounds like the duo knew they'd landed on something nice—the ambient intro stretches over 90 seconds, the breakdown almost as long. If you created something that beautiful, you'd want to show it off, too.
