- An interesting trio awaits us for the next release on the Acting Out imprint, that trio consisting of Hardy Heller, Inkfish and Sweden’s Sven Anderson who provide an interesting release in Mr Drugabuser.
First up is the Original Mix by the trio, and they turn in a pretty cutting edge tech house record inspired by gritty sounds and effects smothered by some sharp crisp beats. Minimal in many parts, there is a undeniable appeal to this production which remains very upbeat despite the subtle nature of the track on the whole.
On the flip, we see two progressive legends in Ian Ossia and Marc Mitchell (who some of you may know behind the classic production outfit, Sunday Club) turn in their reworking. The track has a distinct progressive sound to it, with crisp rolling beats alongside a smooth baseline and some emotive synth patterns that are fortunately not overdone. Once the breakdown hits, you will definitely hear Marc’s Sunday Club background come into play, with the stuttering synth patterns featuring alongside a very smooth 90’s piano line. Ah the good ol days!
A pretty nice release here on Acting Out, with two diverse productions on one release. Definitely worth a good solid look.
