Andy Page - Serpent

  • Blueprint have gotten people whispering of late with a current release from Agent 001 aka Steve Porter and Eli Wilkie .Their sixth outing comes from Andy Page . Serpent is the A side track and from the very beginning a beefed up mix of skippy beats and rhythmic flow set the pace before the bassline kicks in . From this point its top gear all the way as airy pads start to creep underneath, gradually filtering and slightly delaying . The pressure is kept up as the energetic percussion and uplifting melodies strip right back for a massive breakdown of cut up guitar sounds which rewards with an even bigger feel good groove , bringing all the elements back together as one along with cut up,tweaked electroish sounds giving it an awesome peaktime drive behind it . The second track is Blue Noise which takes it to another extreme with a totally chilled back piece of music made up of effected pianolines ,phat bassline and distorted interference that lurks in the distance. The track changes shape midway to slightly more up-tempo with the addition of subtle, live sounding drums before it sinks back into something more ambient again . This record will get people talking louder once more with a superb production from Andy Page and another highly polished release from Blueprint .
