  • If there is something you must experience as a clubber then it is a NYE party with Sasha. Following a series of banging parties at the notorious La Mania club on the Black Sea Coast as early as 2002 and enjoying a privileged status among the party people in Romania, Sasha decided to give all those people a special treat by performing at the Kristal Glam Club in Bucharest. The party kicked off at around 11 PM with DJ Livio and a set that was pretty impressive. The guy is Sasha's favourite DJ back in Bucharest and the man delivered. He payed tribute at the countdown spinning Wavy Gravy which was soul-shattering, believe me. Up next was Oliver MacGregor who was pretty much dissappointing at the beginning but got better as the moment for Sasha's start got nearer, although I must admit that it might just have been me waiting for him anxiously... Just after 3 AM the "Son of God" (musicllly speaking) appeared and what a treat it was! I've been listing to Sasha's music throughout 2005 but that night he was mindblowing. The first part up to 8 AM was the "beast" if I may say so with tracks like Curfew Time & Precious really giving the people something to step on to but the real "beauty" started around 8 AM when after a 10 min break during which people simple didn't stop clapping their hands and crying his name out, he brought the music back in form of Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For? and Madonna - Hung Up which made the MAVEN shine like a thousand colored light bulbs. I left at around 10 AM but Sasha stayed up till 12 AM with the guys from Hybrid joining him at around 9 AM to take a look at what he was up to and entertaining the crowd but only with their smiles and hand gestures as they noticed that Sasha's t-shirt stated "F*** The Clock". Everything was perfect especially the beautiful crowd which matched they superbly decorated club and not to forget a marvellous sound system to keep it burning.
