Kicking off this compilation by Cream is T-Factory with a rip of original 80's hit by Sting, "Message in a bottle". I can't say I’m a big fan off ripped off ideas but this track [due to the great vocal and familiar sound] is quite soothing. The funky house beats continue with 'Muder on the dancefloor', 'Dont Panic' and 'Baya Baya'. Next thing you feel is that well familiar amazing beat of 'Thrill Me' by Junior Jack, and it hits at exactly the right time. This Junior Jack Club Mix of Erick Morillo's vocal version is quality. The following two tracks are way too feel good housey vocal for me to really enjoy, it depends on your style and tastes thou. The Bill Hamel remix of Gorecki, by Lamb drops at the best of times [when something special is needed]. Richard F's 'Cookie Dough Dynamo' takes it from there. The hugely popular original mix of the progressive house track by Brancaccio + Asher, 'It's gonna be a lovely day' takes this disc to a peak. Following this is a great funky track before CRW's latest track 'Like a Cat' takes this album out to a close with its phat base-line and cool vocal.
After a great ambient trance tune to begin this side, track 2 takes over and throws you too that great uplifting trance sound with Laguna's 'Unforgiven'. 'Everywhere I Go'. ATB's amazing trance remix of 'Your not alone' is a great building track. The revamped vocal 'He little girl...' begins to mixes in with great trance back-up and just really lights up the atmosphere of this second disc. Rank1 continues with one of their latest quality tracks 'Awakening' on par with their usual uplifting style. Mystery's 'All I ever wanted' is awesome, that perfect festival sounding, feel good, uplifting trance. Minimalistix's 'Close Cover' flows well and then smoothly fade's into the 2002 remix of Mauro Picotto's Pulsar, and unfortunately as I'm a big fan of the original 'Pulsar' track I was quite disappointed with this remix. The next two tracks however are awesome, 'Temple Of Dreams' by Future Breeze and 'The Drill' by Dirt Devils combine to provide a good hard uplifting trance finish to the album.
Overall this compilation covers a fairly decent range of sounds, from nice bouncing house beats to your quality uplifting trance. It also features some of the better tracks to be released this year and if you are yet to get a hold of some of these, you probably should. I recommend it and if you’re not convinced - it's definitely worth a listen, see if it floats your boat... as mine is still well above water on this one :)
