

But while the understated menace of the original is good, Marek Hemmann’s remix is the reason you’ll probably keep this release in your box. Hemmann has been on a tear of late (Check out his recent remixes of Markus Meinhardt and Dusty Kid for the evidence), and this is no exception. It’s a sound reminiscent of Funk D’Void or Diynamic, which is to say quintessential tech house. The drums are punchy. The synths are deep and warm. The melodies are clean and mesmerising. It works together like a well-cut jigsaw puzzle, and although it’s not a style you haven’t heard before, Hemmann has taken the recipe and made a damn fine cake.
Following on from Stimming’s ‘Die Leibe’ release in March, Terminal M makes it two for two in 2008.
