- Well as august draws to a close, the peak month of summer is over. Already alot of the workers on the island are flying home and the closing partys are just around the corner. After a rocky start to the summer, august has proved to be the saviour will most clubs bursting at the seams. The best nights on the island remain packed, like, Cocoon (sven vaths Techno night, one of my favorites), Subliminal @ Pacha(never fails to please), We-love Sundays @ Space (of course the best night on the island by far) and DC-10 which seems to be going on strength to strength. The two dark horses for this summer would have to be 'Pin-up' a new club in Playa d'en bossa, with a similar style set up to space.......at the fantastically underground, 'The underground' the last few weeks of space on sunday have seen the likes of fatboy and jon carter back to back, lots of superb sasha (check his new album it is amazing!!) Layo & Bushwacka, the underground heros come out of the dark and of course steve lawler, who suprisingly has been very good this summer (check out his lights out GU album!!)
In other goings on Carl Cox has started his own night at space on thursdays which is getting packed every week, including a 4-5 hour set from the big man every week. Viva techno.
