RVDS will put out his first album in five years, Shadows, in October.
RVDS, AKA Hamburg artist Richard von der Schulenburg, is known for his oddball take on acid house, as heard on releases like 2011's Acid Moon. That one, like a lot of RVDS material, came on his own imprint It's, though we haven't heard from Schulenburg in two years. That was when he released the Pudel Produkte 25 EP on the in-house label for Golden Pudel, the beloved Hamburg club where he's been a resident since 2005.
The new LP comes this fall via It's, following up on his 2011 full-length debut, Moments. The press release lists the various influences feeding into Shadows as "acid, deep house, deep techno, jazz, ambient, love."
