  • The xx's new album, I See You, will come out on January 13th, 2017. The South London trio, real names Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith, have been dropping hints about their third full-length for the past month, posting photos on Instagram and releasing mysterious minute-long clips via Spotify. Unlike the band's two previous albums, which were recorded in London, I See You was put together between March 2014 and August 2016 in New York, Marfa, Reykjavik, Los Angeles and London. The LP will be available on vinyl, CD and digitally via Young Turks. "After many years, close together, far apart, great highs, deep lows, heartache and healing, we are so happy to let you know we are releasing our third album, I See You, on January 13th 2017," posted The xx on Facebook. "We realise these are uncertain times and we hope the joy and love we found making the record will find its way out into the world, in however small a way." Listen to the first single, "On Hold," which samples Daryl Hall & John Oates' "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)."
