The Running Back boss will play five gigs in four days next week.
The German DJ, producer and mind behind the wide-ranging label Running Back has five gigs lined up over four days. First, next Thursday the 25th, is Cambridge for a Make It New night at Middlesex Lounge. He'll then head to Chicago's smartbar next Friday to help San Francisco crew As You Like It (who have a 2016 partnership with the Windy City club) celebrate six years in operation.
Then, next Saturday, Janson will be in Los Angeles to play FYF Fest at Exposition Park and an afterparty at Lot 613 with a lineup also featuring Tel Aviv duo Red Axes and SONNS (a local producer who put out an EP on Kompakt last year). The tour winds down in Brooklyn with a Sunday session on Output's rooftop, where Jimpster and Alex From Tokyo complete the lineup.
Janson is about to drop a fabric mix CD, and this month early details were revealed for an upcoming album (and a preceding EP) from Tuff City Kids, his collaboration with Lauer—Adoldesscent will be the duo's first full-length.
He also recently crafted a pair of reworks of Benjamin Ball's 1984 disco/reggae crossover "Flash A Flashlight" for rare groove imprint Cultures Of Soul Records. Check out his "Vocal Mix."
Tickets to see Janson in Chicago, LA (for that FYF afterparty) and Brooklyn are available on RA.
