  • Arturia are releasing a new drum machine called Drumbrute. The Drumbrute joins Arturia's growing Brute family of affordable devices, such as the Minibrute, and combines real-time pattern and parameter control with an 100% analogue signal path. The device features two different kick drums plus snare, clap, rim/clave, open and closed hats, high and low toms, cymbal, maraca/tambourine and zap voices. Each channel has independent controls for volume, soloing, mutes and other parameters specific to any given sound in addition to 12 outputs. There's also a Steiner-Parker filter with high- and low-pass modes and a resonance control. Sequencing can be programmed in step and real-time varieties, the latter of which is controlled with pressure-sensitive pads. Recalling Arturia's Beatstep Pro, every sound can have different sequence lengths, facilitating the creation of polyrhythmic patterns. There are also loop and step repeat functions. Swing and randomness can be applied to individual sounds or on a global level, while patterns run up to 64 steps and can be grouped together into longer structures in Song Mode. Watch a promo video for the Drumbrute.
Arturia will release Drumbrute on November 17th, 2016 for 449 Euro.
