- The California rave crew will team up with local promoters for an all-nighter next weekend.
Wicked Sound System will host a 25-year anniversary party at a TBA Brooklyn location next Friday.
Originally a four-person crew of DJs and promoters, the Wicked crew formed in the UK and later relocated to San Francisco. The group is credited with introducing UK rave culture to the West Coast, laying the groundwork for a distinctly Californian scene with their Full Moon parties in the early '90s. To celebrate 25 years since their first all-night party on the beach under the Golden Gate bridge, they've lined up a warehouse gig in Brooklyn. It's co-presented by local promoters Blkmarket Membership, Listed Productions, SOUP NYC and Tom Mello, with sets by original Wicked DJs Jeno, Markie and DJ Garth.
