The label will put out an 80-minute mixtape from Madteo followed by an album from Swedish synth artist Isorinne.
Unrescuable Dense Musik Of The Blah Blahs is the New York-via-Italy artist's second tape mix on Origin Peoples, following last year's live mix, Confessions Of A Permanent Alien Opium Beater. This one finds the oddball producer in the studio mixing up free jazz, "sludgy grooves, dissonant electronics and lo-fi hypnosis," according to the label's notes. Those also say the tape touches on Madteo's "love-hate relationship... with his adopted homeland." For more on Madteo check out our feature by RA's Will Lynch.
Origin Peoples will follow the Madteo tape with Wave Stuff, a full-length from Stockholm-based Isorinne, which follows two LPs for Northern Electronics. The label says that Michel Isorinne explores synth pop on the new one, "putting paragons of this style like Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark in his slipstream." It will be released as an eight-track LP as well as a cassette split into two 30-minute sides.
